SILVERPOINT
"As a child I was fascinated by the fading sepia photographs in my family's albums. In this series of 22 drawings I tried to imagine their daily lives.
I would hold the photo in my left hand as I drew, imagining it magically injected life into my drawing. The newer drawings are a warm gray but as they oxidize they tarnish browner." The series was exhibited in The Molly Barnes Gallery in L.A., The Lerner Gallery in NYC, and The Midtown Gallery in Atlanta. 10 of the silverpoints are in the collection of The Telfair Museum in Savannah.
